Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President His Excellency (H.E.) Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa met with Pascale Van Damme, President of the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) on Tuesday during her visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, which was also attended by H.E. Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Football Association, H.E. Shaikh Salman welcomed Ms. Van Damme, praising the distinguished position that Belgian football occupies on the global arena.
At the same time, Shaikh Salman outlined the AFC’s future plans aimed at further strengthening the continued development of Asian football at all levels, whilst emphasising the Confederation’s intent to promote knowledge exchange and the sharing of experiences and best practices, particularly by model associations in the world football context, to help shape a brighter and better future of the Asian game.
Shaikh Salman was provided with a brief presentation on the future plans of the Royal Belgian FA, noting the distinguished vision it holds towards developing the game in the country.
Ms Van Damme expressed her appreciation and gratitude to Shaikh Salman, acknowledging the concerted efforts undertaken by the AFC towards advancing and growing Asian football across all levels.
