AFC’s Shaikh Salman meets with Lebanon Football Association president Haidar!

The AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa met with Lebanon Football Association (LFA) President Hachem Haidar to discuss the progress and development of football in the West Asian country on Monday.

Shaikh Salman welcomed Haidar during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain with LFA General Secretary Jihad El Chohof and hailed the progress of Lebanon football, especially the national team, which successfully qualified for the Asian Qualifiers – Road to Qatar final round in addition to Al Ahed FC winning the AFC Cup 2019.

The AFC President said the achievements reflected the efforts of the LFA as well as the clubs to raise the level of the game and be competitive among the best in Asian football.

Shaikh Salman underlined the AFC’s future plans to develop the game at all levels while stressing that the unity and cooperation between the Confederations and the Member Associations was crucial to achieving these common goals.

Haidar briefed the AFC President on the LFA’s future plans and projects, stressing that Lebanon is looking to achieve more success in football development in the future.

He also complimented Shaikh Salman’s efforts in leading the AFC on a sustained path of growth while adding that the LFA will continue working with the Confederation towards the development of football in Asia.
