The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) in a press release expressed their gratitude to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and of FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura for their commitment and involvement in the CAF-FIFA cooperation for the development of African football.
Following the expiration of the tenure of CAF – FIFA Cooperation agreement, the CAF Executive Committee after a thorough review of the reports, has decided to continue with the implementation of reforms in the areas of;
1. Refereeing
2. Infrastructure
3. Competitions
4. Governance based on the report compiled by the Reform Task Force by;
a. Implementing significant aspects related to finance and administrative management with immediate effect
b. Ensuring the independence of the judicial bodies as approved by the Executive Committee
c. Continue with the discussions regarding legal and statutory aspects
