Former I-League champions Aizawl FC have announced the retention of attacking midfielder and winger L. Lalrinfela for another season.
28 year old Mizoram-born Lalrinfela started playing football locally and represented the state and there was scouted by Goan giants Churchill Brothers SC and signed from Assam Dynamo Club of Guwahati.
After his time in Goa, he moved to United Sikkim FC, Southern Samity and Mohun Bagan before becoming a pool player of IMG-Reliance, the year before the launch of the Indian Super League.
In 2014, Lalrinfela was signed by Mumbai City FC in the first ISL draft, but only made one substitute appearance for them over two seasons.
He had a loan spell in between at Green Valley in Assam and atfter his time at Mumbai City FC, he played for newly founded Guwahati FC.
Thereafter Lalrinfela returned to Mizoram to play for Mizoram Premier League side Ramhlun North FC, had a spell with Second Division League side Fateh Hyderabad AFC and last season returned to the national stage by signing for Aizawl FC.
Now he extends his time with Aizawl FC by another season.
