Defending champions Aizawl FC missed a chance to extend their lead at the top after they were held by Chawnpui FC in the final fixture of round 11.
Aizawl FC were clearly the more threatening side in the first half as they were able to carve out chances through Lalrinfela and Ramdinthara.
They were made to wait till the second half for their breakthrough however, and it arrived in the 62nd minute from a freekick struck beautifully by Lalchhanhima Sailo.
But Chawnpui FC’s talisman MC Malsawmzuala denied Aizawl FC from an equally sweet strike from a freekick as well in the 73rd minute.
