Ambernath United Atlanta FC earn debut 2nd Division League game win!

Ambernath United Atlanta FC began their Second Division League debut campaign with a stunning 2-1 comeback win against Hyderabad FC Reserves.

Ambernath United Atlanta FC were playing their first match in the Second Division League at the Cooperage Stadium in Colaba, Mumbai. Meanwhile Hyderabad FC Reserves were looking to bounce back after their 1-2 defeat to ARA FC in their opening match.

Hyderabad FC Reserves took the lead in the 36th minute through Aron Vanlalrinchhana. With a 1-0 lead at the break, Hyderabad FC Reserves looked in a commanding position with the second half to play.

Arif Shaikh scored the equaliser for Ambernath United Atlanta FC in the 55th minute to make it 1-1. Their first ever goal in the Second Division League.

Ambernath United Atlanta FC head coach Steven Dias’ substitution proved on point as he brought on Abhijit Tawhare in the 65th minute. Just 11 minutes later, Abhijit went on to score in the 76th minute giving Ambernath United Atlanta FC their first lead of the match. This goal would prove to be the winning goal. Ambernath United Atlanta FC had managed to overturn a 0-1 deficit to win 2-1 in their opening match to seal all three points.

Ambernath United Atlanta FC next plays against ARA FC at Cooperage Football Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, March 25 at 4.30pm.
