Group A
Winners – Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan were flawless in Group A as they emphatically booked their place with a 7-0 defeat of Jordan on Tuesday.

The Central Asian side also defeated Timor-Leste 3-0 and Bhutan 9-0 to show they will be a force to be reckoned with in Round 2.

They kicked off with a 1-0 win and dug deep to hold a resilient Myanmar 1-1 in the reverse fixture.

Winners – Vietnam

Despite playing in Kathmandu, an unfazed Vietnam cruised to two wins against hosts Nepal.

Preparing for their FIFA Women’s World Cup debut, Vietnam kicked off with a 5-1 win followed by a more calculated performance in the second game, doing just enough for a 2-0 victory.

Group D
Winners – Thailand

Singapore and Mongolia had no answers for a rampant Thailand side with the hosts simply unstoppable.

They started with a 6-0 defeat of Singapore and then scored the same number of goals against Mongolia to finish top.

Group E
Winners – Philippines

Philippines, also preparing for their FIFA Women’s World Cup debut, showed their quality in Group E with three wins.

Hong Kong were expected to offer stiff resistance but the East Asian side suffered a 4-0 defeat on Tuesday as Philippines followed up their earlier victories over Pakistan (4-0) and Tajikistan (8-0).

They were equally impressive against Indonesia on Tuesday, cruising to a 4-0 victory.

Winners – India

Playing in Bishkek did not prove to be a challenge for India as they registered two impressive victories over Kyrgyz Republic.
