After a run of bad results, English Premier League side Aston Villa have sacked their head coach Steven Gerrard.
After last nights loss to Fulham FC, Steven Gerrard had told the media, “You know – and I know – that I am in a very difficult position.”
And the club send out the following statement:
Aston Villa Football Club can confirm that Head Coach Steven Gerrard has left the club with immediate effect.
A club spokesman said: “We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future.”
