ATK & Eugeneson Lyngdoh terminate contract by mutual consent!

Former Indian Super League champions ATK and midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh have decided to terminate their contract by mutual consent.

32 year old Shillong-born Eugeneson Lyngdoh is leaving ATK after having had a tough two seasons at ATK where he didn’t play a lot due to injuries.

Eugeneson is one of the best midfielders of his generation, who started his football in his native Shillong with Rangdajied United FC before making waves at the national stage for Shillong Lajong FC in the I-League. He returned for a season to home club Rangdajied United FC before singning for Bengaluru FC, where he had his best time and also became an India international.

Eugeneson played for FC Pune City on loan before ATK signing him at the ISL-4 draft.

ATK in an official statement said, “ATK and Eugeneson Lyngdoh have come to a mutual agreement to terminate the contract.”

“From everyone at the Club, we thank Eugene and wish him all the very best for the future,” the statement ended.

Eugeneson has options of signing different clubs starting with a possible return to Bengaluru FC or signing for Kolkata giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan or another Indian Super League side.
