ATK Mohun Bagan announce the release of midfielder Pronay Halder!

Former Indian Super League champions ATK Mohun Bagan yesterday announced the release of Indian international midfielder Pronay Halder ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Pronay Halder didn’t make it into the Antonio Lopez Habas-coached 2021 AFC Cup squad and his chances for the Indian Super League – Season 8 seemed as slim, so the defensive midfielder with the club decided to part ways.

28 year old Barrackpore-born Pronay Halder is a sought after player with especially Jamshedpur FC trying to sign him, but he is also being linked to SC East Bengal and other ISL franchises.

After playing for the Tata Football Academy, Pronay played for the Indian Arrows (2011-13), Dempo SC (2013-16), FC Goa (2015, on loan), Mohun Bagan (2016/17), Mumbai City FC (2016, on loan), FC Goa (2017/18), ATK (2018-20), and ATK Mohun Bagan (2020/21).

Pronay Halder has made 21 appearances for India, even leading the country in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup match against Bahrain.
