Former Indian Super League champions ATK Mohun Bagan have signed Hyderabad FC right-back Asish Rai and Bengaluru FC winger Ashique Kuruniyan ahead of the 2022/23 season.
23 year old Pakyong in Sikkim born Asish Rai played football locally before moving to the Pune FC Academy after impressing for his local school in the Subroto Cup.
He spend time at the Pune FC Academy before that became the FC Pune City Academy. After making it to the FC Pune City B team, Asish spend time on loan with the Indian Arrows.
He moved to Hyderabad FC in 2019 as the follow-up club of FC Pune City and joint their first team. Asish developed with the team and was a key part of their ISL winning squad in the 2021/22 season.
25 year old Malapurram-born Ashique Kuruniyan played locally in Kerala before being picked-up by the FC Pune City Academy. It was at FC Pune City that Ashique Kuruniyan made his senior debut with a training stint with Spanish LaLiga side CF Villarreal.
Ashique Kuruniyan joined Bengaluru FC in 2019 and had three seasons with them before now moving to Kolkata.
