ATK sign Australian midfielder Dario Vidosic ahead of ISL-6!

Former Indian Super League champions ATK have announced the signing of Australian midfielder Dario Vidosic ahead of ISL-6.

32 year old Osijek-born Dario Vidosic moved to Australia from Yugoslavia as a baby with his father moving there as a professional footballer.

Dario Vidosic played at Queensland Lions and Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) at youth level before moving to Australian A-League side Brisbane Roar.

From there he was signed by German Bundesliga side 1.FC Nürnberg, but also spend time on loan at MSV Duisburg and Arminia Bielefeld, in his four season spell. He returned to the A-League with Adelaide United, but had a second try in Europe with FC Sion in Switzerland in 2013.

Dario returned to Australia with Western Sydney Wanderers before playing for Chinese side Liaoning Whowin, South Korea’s Seongnam FC before playing for Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne City FC back home.

On signing for ATK, Dario Vidosic said, “I am happy to have signed for ATK. This will be exciting and a new experience for me. I am hoping that I can help ATK lift the Cup again.”

“Dario is an experienced campaigner and a wonderful addition to the team. I am looking forward to working with him and create a strong attacking midfield that will support the strikers ably, ATK coach Antonio Lopez Habas said in a statement.
