German Bundesliga record champions FC Bayern Munich earlier today announced the signings of Niklas Süle and Sebastian Rudy from league rivals TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
The two Germany internationals will join the German record champions on July 1, 2017. Sebastian Rudy signed a three-year contract binding him to the club until June 30, 2020; whereas Süle put his name to a five-year contract until June 30, 2022.
FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge commented, “We’re very satisfied and delighted Niklas Süle and Sebastian Rudy are joining us. Signing two Germany internationals is an investment in FC Bayern’s future. Sebastian Rudy joins us on a free transfer. In the case of Niklas Süle we have reached a fair and serious agreement with TSG Hoffenheim.”
“It’s an absolute dream for me to go to Munich. FC Bayern are one of the greatest clubs in the world,” said 26 yaer old Sebastian Rudy.
“In terms of it being a farewell I feel a little wistful too,” declared Hoffenheim’s home-grown 21 year old talent Süle, but also pointed to the great chance of “maturing further with one of the best teams in the world.”
