Bayern Munich with mixed team in DAZN Infinity League!

FC Bayern Munich will be taking part in DAZN’s “Infinity League” with a special mixed team set up specifically for the event. The tournament will take place on 26 May at FC Bayern Basketball’s venue in Munich, with Borussia Dortmund also taking part. The new indoor football format combines innovation and tradition: mixed teams consisting of club legends, young players and content creators who play at least at a semi-professional level as well as men and women will compete against each other using state-of-the-art technologies, including a new, interactive playing field called GlassFloor.

The format, in which Delay Sports Berlin, the amateur club with the widest reach in Germany, will also be taking part, is supported by renowned partners such as the major label Warner Music Central Europe, the music publisher Warner Chappell Music Germany and Germany’s widest-reaching sports publisher kicker. Further high-calibre clubs could be added before the event. Each participating club will field one men’s and one women’s team. The matches will last 20 minutes (2 halves each of 10 minutes’ duration) and there will be a group phase (everyone against everyone) with ranking matches. In each match, the women and men of the respective clubs will play each other for one half.

Among other things, the tournament will be played on an innovative and interactive GlassFloor playing surface, which combines state-of-the-art graphic video technology with gamification elements and which sports fans were recently able to experience live for the first time at the NBA All-Star Game. In addition, 5G technology, body cams and microphones will be used.

The “Infinity League” will be available free of charge in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein via the DAZN app, on the linear TV channels DAZN 1 and DAZN 2 as well as the partner TV channel DF1 on free-to-air TV and will also be shown on all relevant social media platforms and the channels of media partner Kicker.
