Bengaluru FC B beat Hyderabad FC B, register first Second Division League win!

Bengaluru FC B put on an impressive show registering a 2-0 win over Hyderabad FC B in a Second Division League encounter at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Saturday. Second-half goals from Bekey Oram (75′) and Biswa Darjee (87′) handed the Blue Colts their first win of the campaign.

The victory helped Naushad Moosa’s boys put their first points on the board in Group B as they moved just one point away from Chennaiyin FC (4 points) who currently occupy the fourth place having played a game more.

After an end to end affair in the first half, where both sides produced some good chances, the Blue Colts upped their game in the second half. Coming out confidently, they almost took the lead twelve minutes in when defender Jagdeep Singh found himself at the end of an Amay Morajkar corner in from the right. The defender connected perfectly with his volley only to be denied by the rival custodian who pulled off a great save.

Ten minutes later, it was substitute Robin Yadav who went close. Once again it was Amay’s corner which created the chance as Robin managed to get a good header, but it flew inches over the bar.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 75th minute when a well-worked move saw Advait Shinde find Jagdeep clear down the right with a well-timed pass from the middle. The defender controlled the ball and sent in a good low ball into the box which was turned home by Bekey to put the home side 1-0 up.

Moosa’s boys kept the pressure on causing a lot of problems for the rival defence. They were finally rewarded three minutes from the final whistle when Biswa Darjee capitalised on Bekey’s lay off in the box, poking it under the rival custodian to seal a well-deserved 2-0 win.
