Bengaluru FC stun Hyderabad FC in Reliance Foundation Development League with last-minute winner!

Bengaluru FC maintained their fine form in the Reliance Foundation Development League with a 2-1 victory over Hyderabad FC at the Benaulim Football Ground on Sunday. Rahul Raju (15′) opened the scoring for Bengaluru FC and an injury-time winner from Monirul Molla (90′) ensured all three points for the Blue Colts for the third straight game.

Bengaluru FC started the game brightly and scored the opener inside the first 15 minutes, Lastborn Mawphniang spotted the run of Rahul and picked him out. The striker took a touch and poked it under the arms of Lalbiakhlua Jongte in goal to give the Blue Colts the lead – one that they took into the break.

A minute into the second half, Hyderabad FC scored the equaliser. The Nizams won a corner and found Amritpal Singh unmarked in the box, where the defender leaped the highest and nodded it beyond Sharon Padattil in goal.

Bengaluru FC kept the pressure on Hyderabad FC and finally found the winner in added time. It was the substitutes who linked up for the second goal. Emboklang Nongkhlaw found Molla outside the 18-yard-box where the forward took a touch and laced it beyond the reach of the goalkeeper to make it 2-1.

The Blue Colts have picked up maximum points after winning all of their games so far and sit on top of the table, they next face Mumbai City FC on April 27 in Nagoa.
