Kolkata giants East Bengal Club trounced Bongobi Ogrogami from Bangladesh 6-0 in their opening Group B fixture of 64th Bordoloi Trophy at the Nehru Stadium in Guwahati tonight.
This result was East Bengal’s highest victory margin against a foreign team in the Bordoloi Trophy with the previous highest margin was a 5-1 triumph against a Dhaka XI in the 1972 final.
With this win East Bengal go to the top of the Group with three points from their opening match.
