Botswana FA has appointed an experienced woman as CEO/Secretary General!

Botswana Football Association has announced the appointment of Goabaone Taylor as Chief Executive Officer/Secretary General of the organization. Mrs. Taylor is the first woman to occupy such a position since the inception of the association.

She officially took office on April 5 on a three-year contract as per the release from the BFA President Maclean Letshwiti.

“Building on what the BFA has already accomplished, under her leadership, the Association hopes to have its strategic direction grow and develop, as well as strengthen its partnerships and build new relations.”

An appointment that is far from being a coincidence

“With more than 18 years of experience of corporate and commercial professional experience, Mrs. Taylor holds bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Botswana, including an array of professional courses in the areas of Senior Management and Development Programme from USB-Ed, Enterprise Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College, Digital Marketing from UCT, among others.”

Mrs. Taylor’s experience is backed by a distinguished tract record of the identifying the uniqueness of brands, accentuating their appeal, taking them to the market and maximizing their value. She has led to the commercialization of Pay TV and Free-to-Air content platforms, implementing go-to market strategies, driving partner and customer acquisition as well as extracting customer experience.

She has previously worked as the Country Manager of Econet Media as well as Head of Commercial Contract at Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited.”
