Having left the UK in the very early hours of Sunday morning, the Chelsea FC travelling party for the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup has arrived in Abu Dhabi.
A total of 23 players has made the journey, with Edouard Mendy due to join up later. He competes in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations final later today, with Senegal taking on Egypt.
For the rest of the squad, there will be the first training session in the UAE later on.
Chelsea FC’s first game is on Wednesday, February 9 when they take on Asian Champions League winners Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, who beat local side Al Jazira 6-1 in a one-sided affair.
