Chennai City FC extend contract of defender Roberto Eslava!

Defending I-League champions Chennai City FC have extended the contract of Spanish defender Roberto Eslava until summer 2022.

31 year old Roberto Eslava Suárez was born on the Canary Islands in Telde, where he also started playing football for UD Telde, where he also made his senior debut.

He then went on to play for UD Las Palmas B, Universidad LP, CD Marino (twice), Atlético Granadilla, UD San Fernando, and Unionistas de Salamanca CF all in the lower leagues of Spain.

In 2018 he left Spanish shores to join Chennai City FC with three other Spaniards. Eslava was a mainstay in their defence playing 16 matches and scoring two goals in their I-League title campaign.
