Defending I-League champions Chennai City FC have extended the contract of Spanish attacking midfielder Sandro Rodriguez until summer 2021.
29 year old Sandro Rodríguez Felipe was born on the Canary Islands in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where he also started playing football for UD Geneto, CD Sobradillo before moving to the CD Tenerife Academy.
He made his senior debut for CD Tenerife B while also being part of the CD Tenerife senior squad, where he also spend a season on loan for CD Marino.
Sandro thereafter played for UD Las Palmas B and UD Las Palmas C teams. In 2015, Sandro joined UD Ibarra, where he had three good seasons between 2015 and 2018.
In 2018 he left Spanish shores to join Chennai City FC with three other Spaniards. Sandro was a key player scoring 10 goals in their I-League title campaign.
