Chinese Taipei FA’s Grassroots Football Day brings joy to mask-wearing youngsters!

The Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) held their Grassroots Football Day on November 14 at the Aletheia University after postponing the event during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the health and wellbeing of participants.

Organised with the support of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the New Taipei City government and other partners, the event attracted 447 participants comprising coaches, parents, children ages five to 12 and volunteers. It was aimed at igniting a passion for the sport, inculcating admirable qualities and providing everyone with an unforgettable experience.

The coaches set up 13 training stations and used fun yet challenging interactive and small-sided games to teach their excited, face mask-wearing charges. The youngsters, some of whom had never played football before, were also taught basic skills and schooled in coordination and agility.
