Chris Führich extends VfB Stuttgart contract to 2028!

VfB Stuttgart have extended Germany international Chris Führich’s contract until June 30, 2028.

Chris Führich joined VfB Stuttgart from second-tier SC Paderborn in July 2021 and soon established himself as a key player in attack, registering 13 goals and 12 assists in 88 appearances across all competitions to date.

Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann named Führich in the national team squad for the first time in October 2023, handing him his debut in a friendly against the USA on October 14. Führich has started all 19 Bundesliga games for VfB this term, scoring five goals.

VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth said, “Chris Führich is one of our most important players. He consistently trains and plays at a very high level, and his call-up to the national side was just reward for his performances in a VfB shirt. We’re really pleased that we’ve managed to agree an early contract extension with Chris. We want to continue our success of the past few months with him.”

Chris Führich said, “I’m very happy here in Stuttgart. The club, our fans and the arena are very special. It’s pure tradition, and you feel it at every home and away game. Playing for this club is just great fun. I’m feeling really positive and looking forward to everything in store for us.”
