Churchill Brothers appoint experienced Derrick Pereira as their head coach!

Reinstated I-League club from Goa, Churchill Brothers are currently struggling after their return and have now appointed experienced Derrick Pereira as their new head coach for the remainder of the I-League campaign.

The 54 year old Vasco-based Derrick joins the Red Machines after Nigerian Joseph Afusi, who was supposed to join them as their head coach, never arrived in Goa and Alfred Fernandes had been head coach of the team so far and now will become the assistant coach under Derrick.

The task for Derrick Pereira isn’t easy as Churchill Brothers only in mid-December were reinstated by the AIFF into the I-League and they club had to build a top tier team in a very short span of time.

Derrick Pereira is an experienced coach in the Indian circuit having an AFC Pro License and having coaches at Vasco SC, Mahindra United, Pune FC, Salgaocar FC, and DSK Shivajians FC before now joining Churchill Brothers.

It is not clear if Derrick Pereira will sit on the bench tomorrow against Minerva Punjab FC, but he will surely observe his new team ahead of challenging weeks and months.
