Classical music stars to perform at UEFA EURO 2024 final draw in Hamburg!

A number of classical music performances will entertain the audience at the UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament draw at the striking cultural venue and concert hall Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany on Saturday, December 2.

A pre-draw concert will take place between 17:35 and 17:55 CET, while there will also be live music during the draw as an accompaniment to the main event between 18:00 and 19:00 CET. Munich native Jonas Kaufmann – hailed as one of the world’s greatest tenors – and David Garrett, one of the leading violinists of the world, will be among those to feature. They will perform along the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, National Jazz Orchestra of Germany and National Youth Choir of Germany, who unite under the umbrella of the Deutscher Musikrat – the German Music Council, the world’s largest national umbrella organisation for music culture whose work is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

Martin Kallen, UEFA Events SA CEO, said: “On the evening of the draw, the hosts Germany as well as the host cities and all qualified teams will be united by football as we find out about the first matches we can look forward to across the ten host cities. At this eye-catching venue, the Elbphilharmonie, we will also be united by music and we are really proud to host the draw in this wonderful concert hall with amazing artists, who will set the tone for a tournament where everyone will be welcome.”

The draw will be hosted by Pedro Pinto and Esther Sedlaczek, with eleven legendary players who represented their country at a EURO lending their support on stage. It will be streamed live on UEFA.com and the official UEFA EURO 2024 app.

Hamburg is one of ten EURO 2024 host cities and will stage four group games and a quarter-final. Find out more about the draw and the final tournament here.

Last week the European Qualifiers groups were concluded, and 20 teams have secured their place at next year’s final tournament alongside hosts Germany. The playoff draw has outlined the paths for the twelve national teams competing for the remaining three spots at UEFA EURO 2024.
