CONCACAF Disciplinary Committee sanctions FC Motagua!

CONCACAF has announced its Disciplinary Committee has decided to sanction club FC Motagua from Honduras following various security incidents that occurred during the 2021 Scotiabank CONCACAF League (SCL) first leg final match versus Comunicaciones FC (GUA).

After due examination of the evidence gathered during their investigation and based on the 2021 SCL Regulations, and the FIFA Disciplinary Code, the Committee has decided that FC Motagua must play its next three home matches behind closed doors. Additionally, the Committee has imposed the Honduran club an undisclosed fine.

The three matches that FC Motagua must play behind closed doors must be served in CONCACAF Club Competitions, such as the Scotiabank CONCACAF League or the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, in which the club is eligible to participate.
