CRPF & Sethu FC score big IWL wins!

The Indian Women’s League saw big wins for CRPF against Lord’s FA Kochi and Sethu FC against Celtic Queens FC in Ahmedabad.

Big win for CRPF girls

Central Reserve Police Force FC defeated Lord’s FA Kochi by 5-2 in a Group B Clash at the Shahibaug Police Stadium in Ahmedabad.

CRPF scored all their five goals in the opening 45 minutes of the match. The win took their tally of points in Group B with six from three matches. Lords FA Kochi have three points from as many matches.

Neha Mann opened the scoring for CRPF in the fourth minute and she also scored the fifth goal. Nisha, Syed Buckshira and Tensubam Neelam Devi were the other scorers. Lords FA skipper from the Philippines, Kathleen Camille Rodriquez struck twice in quick succession in the second half to reduce the margin.

CRPF’s Neha Mann was adjudged the Player of the Match.

Sethu FC too good for Celtic Queens FC

Sethu FC’s brilliant run in the IWL continued as they routed Celtic Queens FC by 7-1 in a Group B clash at the Shahibaug Police Stadium in Ahmedabad.

While prolific scorer Kajol DSouza and Sunita Munda scored two goals each, Apurna Narzary, Misha Bhandari and Priyadharshini S were the other scorers for Sethu FC, who now have nine points from three matches. Kajol so far has scored eight goals in the tournament. Kayenpaibam Anju Chanu pulled one back for Celtic Queens FC in the 84th minute.

Sethu FC’s Kenyan forward, Ivy Faith Atieno, was adjudged the player of the match.
