Crespo also spent a successful spell in England at Chelsea where in 2005 he won the Premier League. At international level, Crespo scored 35 goals and is Argentina’s third highest goalscorer behind only Gabriel Batistuta and Lionel Messi. He played in three FIFA World Cups: 1998, 2002 and 2006.
After he hung up his boots, he had brief stints coaching the Parma youth team and managing Serie B club Modena. Crespo was recently named the Vice President of Parma following the Chinese takeover of the club.
