Former Spanish footballer Dimas Delgado will be the assistant coach of East Bengal FC under new head coach Carles Cuadrat.
40 year old Dimas Delgado Morgado, who was born in Santa Coloma, is best known in India for his four seasons with Bengaluru FC, where he went on to win the Indian Super League title.
As a player Dimas Delgado came through at UD Atletico Gramenet, where he also made his senior debut. He thereafter went on to FC Barcelona B, CD Numancia, FC Cartagena, Recreativo Huelva before moving to Australian A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers.
Thereafter Dimas played for Bengaluru FC and he ended his career with CF Montañesa.
Now the former midfielder joins his former Bengaluru FC head coach Carles Cuadrat at East Bengal FC in his first coaching assignment.
