UEFA have announced that, for the first time, EA SPORTS FC, the flagship football video game produced by EA SPORTS, will serve as the official platform for the UEFA eEURO 2024 tournament. The esports competition will showcase the talents of Europe’s best EA SPORTS FC players as they represent their respective UEFA national teams in a battle for supremacy on the virtual pitch.
With a line-up of over 50 UEFA national teams already confirmed to participate, the UEFA eEURO 2024 tournament promises to be an electrifying showcase of skill and competition.
The tournament will begin in March with the online qualifiers. Each nation will employ its own selection mechanism, with many holding player-selection tournaments that will provide some of the best EA SPORTS FC players with the opportunity to compete on behalf of their country. The eight finalists will compete for the title and a share of the $100,000 prize pot at a live event in July.
Aspiring players are encouraged to register for national team player-selection tournaments, with detailed information available here along with the full list of confirmed participating nations.

This new tournament solidifies the longstanding relationship between UEFA and EA SPORTS, as EA SPORTS is also a partner of UEFA’s club competitions and UEFA women’s football.
EA SPORTS FC 24 is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. UEFA EURO 2024 will feature in the game through a free update in summer.
