ERIMA has extended its commitment to German football and presents the first partnership in the Women’s Bundesliga. The traditional Swabian brand supports SC Sand 1946 from the coming season.
The first women’s team of the SC Sand will play in the next Bundesliga season in kit made by ERIMA. The individually designed jerseys have already been presented to the public through social media. In the first home game of the season against the reigning German champions VfL Wolfsburg, the new home jersey will finally be worn on the field.
With the sports wear manufacturer from the Swabian town of Pfullingen and the club from South Baden, two regional bigges in football in Germany have come together. For Gerald Jungmann, manager of SC Sand, a logical cooperation, “ERIMA is a company in Baden-Württemberg, so it is closer than entering a partnership with a regional supplier.”
The women’s team of SC Sand came into existance in 1980. In the 1990s, the club spend a season in the top tier of German women’s football, since 2013 SC Sand has become an integral part of the top tier in German women’s football. SC Sand’s biggest success so far was the two-time runners-up finish in the German DFB Cup final of women in 2016 and 2017.
