The FA & English Institute of Sport join Sports Performance Masterclass!

iSportconnect logoiSportconnect, the world’s largest global private network of sports business executives, is delighted to announce Chris Earle, Head of Education at The Football Association and Mark Upton, Coaching Science Manager at the English Institute of Sport as the latest confirmed panellists for the Sports Performance Masterclass.

The event will take place in partnership with Elite Performance Partners at the Grange Hotel Wellington, London on 26th April 2016.

Earle and Upton will be joining:

–       Neil Black, Performance Director of UK Athletics

–       Brendan Purcell, Performance Director of British Triathlon

–       Les Reed, Executive Director at Southampton Football Club

–       Ged Roddy, Director of Youth at the Premier League.

–       Mark Evans, Director of Capacity Consulting (former Harlequins CEO)

–       Chris Anderson, Managing Director of Coventry City Football Club

As Coaching Science Manager with the English Institute of Sport and co-creator of social enterprise‘myfastestmile’, much of Mark Upton’s work revolves around understanding learning & expert performance in order to facilitate the development of sport participants, coaches and leaders.

He is passionate about creating dynamic environments for people at all levels of sport to be their best, blending his own and others experiential knowledge of sport with principles from the emerging field of Complexity Science.

Prior to arriving in the UK early in 2014, Mark spent 12 years working with a professional Australian Rules Football club in his home town of Adelaide in South Australia.

Chris Earle has worked in a number of roles within sport including Director of Sport for Loughborough University and Director of Sport for Aspire Academy, Qatar, before being made Head of Education for The FA last year.

He leads The FA’s coach education and professional development programme to ensure the right number of qualified and appropriately skilled coaches are active in football.

The iSportconnect Sports Performance Masterclass will be expertly moderated by David Slemen, Managing Director of Elite Performance Partners, the recruitment business specialising in placing senior leaders and expert practitioners into elite sports teams, governing bodies and federations.

The discussions will be held without the press and under Chatham House rules, allowing for an open and free flowing debate.
