Bathed in the rays of the setting sun, FC Bengaluru United kept their hopes of making it to the I-League alive with a battling 2-2 draw against Maharashtra Oranje FC at the COE Khargar.

Coming off the back of two losses, the visitors looked sluggish and it was Oranje FC who secured the early advantage, scoring twice in quick succession in the 34th and 37th minute. FC Bengaluru United pulled one back just before halftime through Ngangbam Naocha (45′).

They battled hard in the second half, creating chances, but failing to see them through. Just when it looked like FC Bengaluru United would come away from the game without securing any points, Ashley Koli pulled off a stunner, four minutes into extra time to secure the draw and give FC Bengaluru United an invaluable point, to keep their qualification hopes still alive.
