FC Goa has registered a 20-member squad for the upcoming GFA Vedanta Women’s League campaign. This includes six Indian internationals.
15 of the 20 in the FC Goa squad have represented Goa at the national level with two players from outside Goa making the squad.
The team will be under the tutelage of Sugitesh Mandrekar and led by a three-member leadership team consisting of Josline D’Souza, Velanie Fernandes and Vailanka D’souza.
The full FC Goa squad for the 2021 season of the GFA Vedanta League is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Josline D’Souza, Prithi Kesrakar
Defenders: Kimberly Fernandez, Kulsum Shaikh, Leena Gaunco, Neefa Clemente, Snehal Morajkar, Khushboo Saundatikar
Midfielders: Alisha Tavares, Ansiva Vaz, Joyvi Fernandes, Pushpa Parab, Vailanka D’souza, Atiriya Ardikey, Gail Fernandes, Velanie Fernandes
Forwards: Arpita Pednekar, Meloshka Carvalho, Namita Govekar, Sushmita Jadhav
The GFA Vedanta Women’s League will see five teams competing for the crown with UC Telaulim, Compassion FC, Futebol Club YFA and defending champions Sirvodem SC set to challenge FC Goa.
The Gaurs begin their campaign on October 6 against UC Telaulim with the opening four games scheduled for one every three days. The details for the same are as follows:
