FC Goa wishes farewell to keeper Mohammad Nawaz!

Indian Super League franchise FC Goa have said farewell to their goalkeeper Mohammad Nawaz as his contract ended on May 31, 2021.

21 year old Manipur-born Mohammad Nawaz played locally before picked-up by the AIFF Elite Academy as part of the preparatory squad for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, But Nawaz was left out of the final squad.

Soon thereafter Nawaz joined FC Goa with initially playing for the FC Goa Developmental Team before being part of the FC Goa ISL squad for the 2018/19 season.

Now after three seasons, Nawaz leaves the Gaurs as having been their regular first team goalkeeper until it became clear that he is to leave the club in the summer and he is likely to join rivals Mumbai City FC and link-up again with his former coach Sergio Lobera.
