FC Pune City fire head coach Miguel Angel Portugal after only three ISL-5 matches!

Indian Super League franchise FC Pune City have relieved Miguel Angel Portugal from his duties as the Head Coach of the club after just three matches in-charge.

Miguel Angel Portugal, who last season had coached Delhi Dynamos, was appointed by FC Pune City as their new head coach in August 2018 with the club aiming to equal their semifinal appearance from last season or even achieve more, but after their opening three matches the Stallions were bottom of ISL-5 with only one point.

After a brief stint with Spanish LaLiga 2 side Granada CF, Portugal came back to India to replace Ranko Popovic as FC Pune City’s head coach.

For the moment FC Pune City have appointed their Technical Director Pradyum Reddy as the Interim Coach until they make a new full-time appointment.
