FC Pune City’s Diego Carlos suspended for 2 additional matches & fined!

FC Pune City forward Diego Carlos De Olivera has been suspended for three matches and fined Rs 200,000 (INR Two Lakhs) for breach of AIFF Disciplinary Code Article 48 ‘Serious Infringements’ and Article 49 ‘Misconduct against opponents or persons other than match officials’.

Carlos was shown a direct red card for a bad foul on FC Goa’s Seriton Fernandes during the ISL match between FC Goa and FC Pune City on Sunday, October 28.

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee, based on the referee’s report, has sanctioned a further two-match suspension and the financial penalty in addition to the one match automatic suspension for the red card.

Carlos has already served one suspension in Match 26 against Kerala Blasters FC played on November 2. In light of the new sanction, he will be unavailable for selection for FC Pune City’s home match against Chennaiyin FC on November 6 and their away match against ATK on November 10.
