FIFA secretary general Samoura to address Soccerex China!

Soccerex have announce that FIFA Secretary General, Ms Fatma Samoura will be addressing delegates at the opening of Soccerex China 2018, April 17/18 in Zhuhai.

Ms Samoura will be speaking just months before the 2018 FIFA WorldCup kicks off, in a country which has embraced the global football fever, with the Chinese Government presenting ambitious plans to make the game accessible to millions of school children in the coming years.

Ms Samoura joined FIFA in June 2016 as the first-ever female Secretary General of world football’s governing body, following a distinguished career with the United Nations where through her leadership and vision she helped empower women and youth, changed lives and protected the environment.

The Secretary General attended the Soccerex Global Convention 2016 where she gave an exclusive interview and presented the inaugural FIFA Diversity awards which were hosted at the event. When speaking about the event and her experience Ms Samoura said, “The Soccerex Global Convention is definitely the number one event that pulls all the industry of football together, and for my first visit to Manchester and my first speech in England, it’s been a really fantastic journey.”

Commenting on Ms Samoura’s participation at Soccerex China, Soccerex COO, Rita Revie said, “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to be welcoming Fatma back to Soccerex and to our inaugural China event. We are immensely grateful for her continued support at such a busy time for FIFA.”

Soccerex China is hosted in partnership with Time Fun Media & Culture Ltd and Huafa Sports, part of the Zhuhai Huafa Group. The event also benefits from the support of the Hong Kong Football Association and from Soccerex Global Partners, LaLiga.

Over two days, the event will bring together senior decision makers from across China and the rest of the world for an exhibition of market leading companies and a programme of conference sessions and networking events focused on the growth of football in China and the fulfilment of China’s national football reform plan.
