Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the third rankings of 2023, India drop a spot to 61st position behind Croatia, but ahead of Greece.
India have 1,414 points, the same in the last quarter and stay in 11th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.
The next matches of the India Women’s will be in the Olympic qualifiers.
In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (101st), Bangladesh (142nd), Sri Lanka (153rd), Pakistan (157th), the Maldives (160th) and Bhutan (169th).
After the end of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, there were multiple changes in the top 5. The new top side are Sweden (2,069 pts), ahead of 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners Spain (2,052 pts), while the United States (2,051 pts) drop UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 champions England (2,030 pts) and France (2,004 pts) complete the top five.
