FIFA Women’s World Rankings: India drop to 66th, Spain stay top!

Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the first rankings of 2024, India drop a spot to 66th position behind Zambia, but ahead of Cameroon.

India have 1,389 points, four points less than in the last quarter and stay in 13th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.

The next matches of the India Women’s will be in the coming months.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (100th), Bangladesh (140th), Sri Lanka (157th), Pakistan (158th), the Maldives (161st) and Bhutan (173rd).

There were multiple changes in the top 5. 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners Spain (2,086 pts) stay top with UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 champions England (2,021 pts)who gain two spots as the new second-placed side ahead of France (2,019 pts), while the United States (2,011 pts) drop two spots, and Germany (2,005 pts) gain a spot to complete the top five.
