FIFA Women’s World Rankings: India move up to 56th, USA retain top spot!

Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the second rankings of 2022, India gained three spots to 56th position behind Belarus, but ahead of Panama.

India have 1426 points, eight more than last quarter and stay in 12th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.

The India Women play their next matches as friendlies in the coming weeks.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (102nd), Bangladesh (145th), Sri Lanka (150th), the Maldives (152nd) and Bhutan (169th) with Pakistan currently unranked.

There was a change in the top 5. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners United States (2,104 pts) stay top spot ahead of Sweden (2,061 pts) and France (2,041 pts), while the Netherlands (2.014 pts) and Germany (2,010 pts) switched spots to complete the top five.
