FIFA World Rankings: India stay 97th, Belgium now new No. 1!

FIFA - Coca Cola Mens World RankingEarlier in the day, the latest FIFA ‘Coca Cola’ Men’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the October rankings, India stay 97th position behind Qatar, but ahead of Estonia; while 2018 FIFA World Cup semifinalists Belgium is the new lone No. 1.

India have 1245 points, one more than last month and they stay in 15th position of the Asian (AFC) rankings.

India in this window held China goalless in a friendly on October 13, while they next face Jordan on November 17 in Amman.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of the Maldives (151st), Nepal (161st), Bhutan (188th), Bangladesh (194th), Pakistan (199th) and Sri Lanka (201st) in what was another mixed month for the region.

There were multiple changes across the top 5. Belgium (1,733 points) are now new No. 1, while FIFA World Cup winners France (1,732 pts) drop into second place ahead of Brazil (1,669 points) and Croatia (1,635 pts), while England (1,619 pts) gained a spot to complete the top five.
