Former Bengaluru FC winger Edu Garcia join ATK!

Former Indian Super League champions ATK have continued to strengthen their team ahead of the remainder of ISL-5 in 2019 by signing former Bengaluru FC winger Edu Garcia.

28 year old Zaragoza-born Eduardo “Edu” García Martín played for Helios, Amistad and Real Zaragoza at youth level. Edu spend three years with Real Zaragoza ‘B’ before playing for CD Ebro (twice), SD Ejea and the Real Zarazoga first team.

In 2017, Edu Garcia moved to India to join then Indian Super League newcomers Bengaluru FC. He had a massive impact before moving for a record USD 150,000 transfer fee to Chinese League Division One side Zhejiang Greentown FC.

Now in January 2019, Edu Garcia returns to India to sign for ATK as their second winter signing after India international right back Pritam Kotal from Delhi Dynamos.

ATK head coach Steve Coppell said, “The additions made to the squad are positive and we are quite excited to bring the new players on board. We hope that they can deliver and excite the fans through their performances on the pitch. We will begin training after the international break and assess how soon they can be integrated to our main squad. We look forward to a bright start in 2019.”
