Four Bayern Munich players test COVID-19 positive, delay training by a day!

The FC Bayern Munich squad will not begin their preparations for the second half of the season until Monday, January 3. The start of training had originally been planned for Sunday, January 2, but following the changes to the testing and hygiene measures in light of the current pandemic situation, all players, coaches and backroom staff will initially undergo PCR tests on the morning of January 3.

Four players will definitely miss the first training session of the year. Manuel Neuer (in the Maldives), Kingsley Coman (Dubai), Corentin Tolisso (France) and Omar Richards have tested positive for coronavirus.

They are all doing well, as is assistant coach Dino Toppmöller, who has also tested positive for the virus. They are all isolating at home.
