FOX Sports Mexico renews CONCACAF Champions League broadcast rights for four more seasons!

FOX Sports Mexico and CONCACAF have announced a contract renewal for FOX Sports Mexico to continue broadcasting the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) for the next four seasons (2023-26). This announcement reinforces the goal of the two organizations to offer the best content to fans.

The 15th edition of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League (SCCL), which precedes an expanded and exciting Champions League launching in 2024, will feature 16 clubs, including four from Liga MX; Tigres UANL, León, Pachuca, and Atlas. More information about the 2023 SCCL is available here.

Matches of the region’s most important club competition, which qualifies its champion to the FIFA Club World Cup, will be available on FOX Sports, FOX Sports 2, FOX Sports 3, and FOX Sports Premium channels, on pay television, as well as on the Prime Video, Cinépolis Klic, Claro Video, and FOX Sports App platforms.

“The CONCACAF Champions League is the Confederation’s flagship club competition, and we are very proud to continue our relationship with FOX Sports Mexico so that their audience, which is so passionate about the sport, can continue to enjoy all the action,” said CONCACAF General Secretary Philippe Moggio. “Our commitment to continue offering the best football is only strengthened by agreements like this, which will see us benefit from the excellent reach and visibility provided by Fox Sports Mexico,” added Moggio.

“For FOX Sports Mexico it is very important to give visibility to this tournament within our Confederation, so for more than ten years, we have built a close and solid relationship with CONCACAF, with whom we work to continue growing. The renewal of this alliance demonstrates our commitment to football fans,” said Cristina Ruiz de Velasco, General Director of FOX Sports Mexico.

The 2023 edition of the SCCL will kick off in March with the Round of 16. The eight matchups will take place March 7-9 (first leg matches) and March 14-16 (second leg matches).

The pairings for the Round of 16 and each club’s road to the Final were determined at the tournament’s official draw on Monday, November 8. To view the schedule, click here.

From 2024 onwards, the SCCL will be replaced by an expanded 27-club Champions League. The Confederation-wide competition will include five rounds (round one, round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and final) and will continue to be played in a direct elimination format.
