Germany Women to miss three VfL Wolfsburg players at Arnold Clark Cup in England!

Svenja Huth and Lena Lattwein (both VfL Wolfsburg) have both had to withdraw from playing for Germany Women in the Arnold Clark Cup in England.

Lattwein misses out due to a bad cold while Huth has tested positive for coronavirus. Goalkeeper Almuth Schult must enter quarantine as a contact person, meaning that she is also unavailable for the tournament. Other contacts Lena Oberdorf, Tabea Waßmuth, Kathrin Hendrich and Felicitas Rauch, who have all tested negative so far, would be able to return to the team by Tuesday at the latest should they return further negative results.

Germany head coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has named Chantal Hagel, Martina Tufekovic (both TSG Hoffenheim) and Hasret Kayikci (SC Freiburg) as replacements.

Germany will face Spain in Middlesbrough to kick-off a tournament that is packed with quality (February 17, 15.30 CET). The squad will then travel to Norwich to play Canada (February 20, 21.15 CET) and Wolverhampton to face England (February 23, 20.30 CET).
