Germany’s Pro License Course on DFB Campus: New name, new home!

On February 28, the starting signal for the new pro license course of the German Football Association (DFB) will be given. After ten successful years at the Hennef sports school, the former football teacher training course is getting a new name this year and, with the move to the DFB campus, a new central contact point.

During the entire time, special attention is paid to the direct application of what has been learned in the clubs. The DFB Academy is once again relying on the combination of virtual modules and face-to-face events, which means that the candidates can benefit both from the flexibility of the online campus, which has now proven itself, and from the modern infrastructure on site. The reduced group size from 25 to 16 participants also enables even more individual support for the trainers. After 13 months, during which various proofs of performance have to be provided, they finally obtain the highest license level in German coaching.

Daniel Niedzkowski, Head of Pro License Training, said, “After many wonderful years in Hennef, we are now looking forward to our time in our new Frankfurt home with great anticipation. The demands placed on our coaches in top-flight football are constantly changing and are increasing more complex. We are therefore now happy to be able to integrate possible developments with a close connection to our DFB academy in an even more targeted manner. Together with our 16 participants, we are looking forward to beautiful and exciting, but of course also intensive 13 months.”

Markus Nadler, head of the trainer training, further education and training department, said, “The relocation of the pro license course to the DFB campus will give our training another boost in terms of content. From now on, the Pro license course not only starts under a new name, but has also been further developed in terms of content. In order to meet the current requirements in modern professional football, the training includes four main topics on the topics “Trainer-Me”, “Game and Players”, “Organization” and “Football System”. go out. In this way, the focus is increasingly on the trainers and the promotion of their individual skills.
