Goa Police get the better of AIFF Under-19 boys in friendly!

The AIFF Under-19 boys went down 1-2 to Goa Police in a practice match played at the Artificial Turf ground in Fatorda in Goa on Saturday, December 17.

The AIFF boys opened the scoreline in the 10th minute when Amal blasted in a long corner, taken by Raghav, into the back of the net.

15 minutes later, Goa Police drew parity from a long cross down the right flank.

Eight minutes to half time, the Goa Police team scored their second. The Police striker received a ball from the left, dribbled past the defence and smothered his first goal to put his team in the driver’s seat.

After the changeover, the AIFF boys went very close to scoring but the opposition defenders thwarted their effort every time. In the last minute of regulation time, Hrishi unleashed the ball to an onrushing Edmund, but the opposition goalie saved it from shooting distance.

In the end, Goa Police won 2-1 over the AIFF U-19 boys.
