Corps of Signals play host to FC Bardez in a Goa Professional League match at the Corps of Signals Ground in Navelim on Sunday afternoon.
Corps of Signals will be looking to get something out of this game as they are currently in 10th spot having played nine games with five points. Corps of Signals played Sporting Clube De Goa in their previous encounter and lost 1-6. Looking ahead of the match they will try to make the most of home advantage as they look for a win.
FC Bardez are currently in second spot having played 10 games with 19 points. They are two points behind league leaders Sporting Clube de Goa and will be looking to get back to the top of the table with a win. FC Bardez played Clube San Miguel Taleigao in their previous encounter and somehow managed to get a point from the game. When these two teams met earlier on the season FC Bardez defeated Corps of Signals 3-1 .
FC Bardez will be making some changes to their Starting XI as Peter Carvalho will be back from suspension. Defender Rowilson Rodrigues will be out because of a torn muscle, and Anil Chawan is likely to replace him. Midfielder Alesh Sawant will also be out due to a knee injury and Lestan Afonso might get his place back in the starting XI.
FC Bardez right-back Lestan Afonso said, ”The boys are ready for the match and we will go all out as we want to regain our top position.“
FC Bardez manager Armando Colaco said, “The previous game is over. We have to look up for the next one and go for the win. I know my boys won’t let me down and get all three points home.”
