The Reserves of Indian Super League franchise FC Goa had to come back to draw 1-1 against Calangute Association in a Goa Professional League match played at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa on Tuesday evening.
Calangute Association were the favourites going into the match and they did not disappoint, but they had to wait until late in the fist half to take the lead through Omkar More.
It was Calangute Association for most of the second half as well, but late in injury time referee Jose Dias awarded a penalty after Calangute Association’s Bersal Viegas handled the ball in the box. And it was Veegan Ferrao to level things for the FC Goa Reserves.
In the end two lost points for Calangute Association, while the FC Goa Reserves salvaged a late point.
